Penguin Party
Friday, January 19, 1-3pm | Goodman South Madison Library [2222 S. Park St]
Kids and families can immerse themselves in the world of an Antarctic penguin by trying out the Virtual Reality game Waddle, developed by researchers in the South Pole and game company FieldDay at UW-Madison. You'll have the chance to take on the role of an Adelie penguin, play some adorable mini games, and learn how penguins build nests and defend their eggs against the predatory skua. Plus, the library will be showing the movie Happy Feet and providing a fun craft where kids can make their own paper penguins.
Light refreshments will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. No registration required.

Niños y familias pueden sumergirse en el mundo de un pingüino antártico al probar el juego de realidad virtual Waddle, desarrollado por investigadores del Polo Sur y la compañía de juegos FieldDay en UW-Madison. Tendrás la oportunidad de asumir el papel de un pingüino, jugar algunos adorables minijuegos y aprender cómo los pingüinos construyen nidos y defienden sus huevos contra los depredadores skúas.
