
The Auto Repair Reference Center has information on over 33,000 vehicles from 1945-present. This includes Repair Procedures, Service Bulletins and Recalls, Wiring Diagrams, Labor, Spcifications, and Maintenance Intervals. Most of the information can be read on screen or printed out. Besides vehicle-specific information, the database includes care and repair tips as well as general troubleshooting information. There are even videos that provide information on how the different parts of a vehicle work together.
To connect to the Auto Repair Reference Center, go to the Madison Public Library web page. By choosing Research > Databases > Auto Repair Reference Center from the Madison Public Library web page, you will be able to access the databse from anywhere. Or, access the database here.
If you are using the database from home, you will have to enter your full library card number without the spaces.
Choose the year your vehicle was made or select one of the options from the tabs on the top.
First choose the year your vehicle was made, then the manufacturer's name, and finally the model. If different submodels are available, you will have to specify. [more]
