Preschool Storytime Chefs

Join Chef Lily Kilfoy for this hands-on cooking experience for preschoolers, ages 3-5. Participants will learn about food through storytime and by helping to prepare a simple recipe. Children will need adult assistance. Recipes will be nut free and vegetarian.

Application Assistance

In partnership with the City of Madison and Madison Public Library, the African Center for Community Development provides in-person assistance* to help offset housing costs by assisting residents with applications for services, jobs, and other financial benefits.
We provide help for people navigating application processes and filling out forms required for housing, immigration, food, health, and other community support services. For questions about the program, please call African Center at 608-957-5623 or 608-294-0066.

[FULL] Bubbler Artist in Residence: Concrete Garden Stones with Elias Mittelstadt

Join Lakeview's summer artist-in-residence, Elias Mittelstadt, in creating concrete garden stones. Materials will be provided, and participants are invited to bring their own objects to create a uniquely decorated work.

About the presenter
Elias Mittelstadt is a designer and artist based in Madison, WI. His practice is inspired by technology, nature, history, and cartography and utilizes 3D printing, digital design, and found objects. In addition to his practice, he assists local artists and specializes in CAD and technical drawings for products. Elias has created courses, workshops, and programming for people of all ages and enjoys teaching new skills and seeing the diversity of creative expression when people are given the same prompts and materials.
