Introducing Metro Transit Fast Fare! This Go By Metro series is dedicated to everything Fast Fare! Metro Transit and City employees will be distributing the new reloadable cards. Staff will also be available to answer questions, and help rider’s set up online accounts, add any half-price entitlements and trade in unused passes/ cards. Get the latest updates on BRT to prepare for the Rapid Route A launch.

Tweens and teens are invited to cook with Chef Lily at Lakeview Library!  Participants will prepare and enjoy a wide variety of recipes, while learning about meal planning, following recipes, and using kitchen gadgets and tools.  

Food generously provided by Willy St. Co-op North.

The Hawthorne Anime Club was created to give people a place to gather, watch, and talk about Japanese animation.  The club is intended for adults and older teens. All screenings will be in Japanese with English subtitles.  Occasionally films or series with mature content will be screened.  Call ahead to reserve your spot!

(masks are required and no refreshments can be served due to Covid-19 restrictions)

A Mexican boy embarks on an illegal border-crossing adventure in hopes of reuniting with his mother, an undocumented immigrant working as a domestic in L.A. He is forced to make the dangerous journey after the death of his grandmother, who was taking care of him in Mexico.
