Intergenerational Mindfulness & Journaling Workshop

Join mental health advocate Nikyra McCann to learn how mindfulness and journaling can be tools to minimize the stress of everyday life.  Participants of all ages will have time to practice what they learn in a journal that is theirs to keep.

This workshop will be held at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center (1625 Northport Dr. Madison, WI 53704) and is offered in partnership between Madison Public Library and NewBridge.

Nikyra McCann has been a mental health advocate for 11 years. She is now the owner of Still Standing Enterprise. Nikyra serves as the Board Vice President for NAMI Dane County. She serves as the Chair of the Advocacy Committee for NAMI Dane County. It is her passion to let her advocacy work pave the way so that others may not endure her previous hardships. Nikyra values respect and empathy towards others.

Note: This workshop is not a substitute for therapy and should not be seen as a therapy group.

This program is part of the Live Well @ Your Library initiative.  https://www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/resources/guides/live-well-your-lib...
