The Mystery Writers of America recognized the best in recent crime writing this past Thursday with the presentation of the 2022 Edgar Awards. The long-running awards have in the past recognized such luminaries as Margaret Maron, James Lee Burke, Margaret Millar and Attica Locke, among others, and this year’s winners and nominees presented another strong field of storytelling across fiction, nonfiction, juvenile and teen novels, screenwriting, and other fields.
