In this Spanish language graphic novel for school age kids, Olivia is bored out of her mind after moving to a small town from the city. Things quickly begin to change when she starts exploring the woods that surround her new home. There, Olivia meets a strange old lady who gives her a dog. Immediately, Olivia and her dog, who she names Peluso (Fuzz), begin getting into all kinds of wacky adventures. Shortly into their relationship, Olivia and Peluso meet a genie who offers to grant Olivia's wishes, but Olivia quickly realizes that wishes can go very, very wrong. Olivia and Peluso's antics bring to mind another kid and canine pair, Jake the Dog and Finn the Human from Adventure Time.
I enjoyed the humor in this story and the quick thinking of the protagonists. The illustrations were fun, expressive, and communicative. They made the book an enjoyable and quick read. As the first book in this graphic novel series, Olivia y el genio sivergüenza does a great job introducing a cast of characters who I want to see more of. I can't wait to read the sequel, Olivia y el zorro furioso.

Como el primero libro en este serie de novelas gráficas, Olivia y el genio sinvergüenza presenta un grupo de protagonistas interesantes. No puedo esperar a volver a verse ellos en el libro proximo, Olivia y el zorro furioso.
