Alebrijes are brightly colored Mexican folk art wood sculptures, carved by hand and depicting fantastical animal-like creatures. There are three opportunities coming up to join Mexican artists Armando Jimenez and his son Alejandro to learn about the wonderful history of these mystical creatures and explore books featuring the Jimenez family's artwork.
They'll be doing live demos to create alebrijes while answering questions and talking about this traditional form of folk art.
