Join local author and professional freelancer Sarah White for a 4-week writing workshop this summer! Each class will use short writing exercises to trigger your creativity while expanding your writing skill. We’ll practice writing about places, characters, and scenes with short assignments designed to be as fun as they are helpful in finding your voice as a writer. Some writing exercises will take place in class and others will be “Field Trip” assignments between class meetings. The class is open to fiction and nonfiction writers of all ages, and will meet each week on Wednesday evenings from 3:30-5:30pm at Pinney Library.
We will…
- Explore capturing characters with key details
- Showcase how to convey a sense of place
- Dig into the commonly used catchphrase for writing,“show don’t tell” with action in scenes
Workshop Dates:
- June 26, 3:30-5:30pm | Pinney Library
- July 3, 3:30-5:30pm | Pinney Library

- July 17, 3:30-5:30pm | Pinney Library
