Kavant is the Wanda Fullmore intern at Hawthorne Library. He is a junior this year at La Follette High School. Kavant describes his internship as cool. His duties include checking in books/movies, shelving books/movies, and helping out with outreach programs and kids programs. His favorite part about working at the library is working with kids. He had the opportunity to help with preschool storytime a few times and enjoyed it. During his internship he has learned that he prefers hands on work and he has been able to improve his computer skills. Kavant is also working another part time job this summer at a skating rink. He says he enjoys having two jobs because “it’s more money”. In the future, Kavant plans to move to California. His goal is to have 2 good paying jobs, a nice house and a ten car garage that will store his dream cars such as a classic 1975 Porsche or a 2017 Chevy Camaro.
