Miguel Ángel lives with his Abuelo, and every day the two of them head off to work today. Abuelo sells coconuts, and Miguelito sells homemade dreamcatchers that his Mom taught him to make, saving coins to put in his airplane jar.
Today, Miguelito and Abuelo talk about all the things people might dream of: perfect waves, having a friend to play with, changing the world, or having a meal for tomorrow. And some people "dream of someone they miss and of seeing them again."
When Miguel asks if dreams come true, Abuelo answers honestly: not always. But he encourages Miguel to keep dreaming, and shares that his dream is to see Miguelito smile.
The paint, paper, and digital collage illustrations are very distinct, and really enhance this story, adding details you can only catch with a close look.
