Print, Photocopy and Faxing Services

If you have a document ready to print, copy or fax from your email, phone or another device, you can submit it remotely and pick it up from any Madison Public Library location. All services are CASH ONLY.

Wireless Printing

All printing is CASH ONLY

Black and White Prints: $0.10 per page (even if you bring your own paper) 

Color Prints: $0.50 per page

How To Print From A Web Browser:

  2. Upload files by dragging them onto the web page or clicking "Select Files"

  3. Each file can have separately customizes settings (# of copies, pages, grayscale or color, etc.)

  4. Input the library card or internet access card number into the "Enter Guest Name or Library Card Number" field for easy print release from the coin tower. Otherwise a unique username may be used and manually entered into the coin tower for print release

  5. (Optional) Enter an email address or cellular number to receive a receipt 

  6. An alert box will confirm that the print job was submitted successfully, indicating that the printouts are ready to be released at any Madison Public Library 

  7. Follow instructions at a Madison Public Library coin tower to pay and receive prints

How To Print An Email Or Email Attachment:

  1. Forward an existing email to print the text body or attachments, or start a new email and upload attachments or text body to print 

  2. Print materials to madbw@madpl.org to print in grayscale or madcolor@madpl.org for print in color 
  3. A confirmation email will provide a release code to enter into the coin tower, indicating that the printouts are ready to be released at any Madison Public Library 
  4. Follow instructions at a Madison Public Library coin tower to pay and receive print

 Note: when submitting printouts by email, the number of copies, page orientation, 1 vs 2 sided, or page range cannot be specified. More options are available when printing through the web browser or app.

How To Print From An iOS Or Andriod Device:

  1. Download the printing portal app onto your iOS or Android device 
  2. From the main menu of the app, select "Files" to print a locally stored file or select from a cloud file storage service. Selecting "Pictures" will limit the file browser to only show locally stored pictures.
  3. Select a file to print 
  4. Click on the file name to customize print settings (# of copies, pages, grayscale or color, etc.)
  5. Select any Madison Public Library location - regardless of the location selected, the print job can be released from any Madison Public Library
  6. Input the library card or internet access card number into the "Enter Guest Name or Library Card Number" field for easy print release from the coin tower. Otherwise a unique username may be used  and manually entered into the coin tower for print release 
  7. A list of print jobs will display, indicating that the printouts are ready to be released at any Madison Public Library location
  8. Follow instructions at a Madison Public Library coin tower to pay and receive prints

Photocopying

All libraries offer access to a color photocopier for patrons to use.

Black-and-white photocopies: $0.10 (even if you bring your own paper) 

Color photocopies: $0.50 per page

All printing and copying is CASH ONLY.

Outgoing faxing is available at the following library locations for free:
