Ancestry Library

Find out more about your family tree by searching Ancestry Library, a public library version of the popular Ancestry.com that includes access to over 2 billion names and thousands of genealogical databases:

  • Census and voter lists
  • Birth, marriage, and death records
  • Immigration records and passenger lists
  • Military records
  • Schools, directories, and church histories
  • Tax, criminal, wills, and land records
  • More

On the top menu bar, there are downloadable Charts and Forms that can be used to organize your research, as well as a Learning Center with useful search tips.

How do I save or print records?

Ancestry Library may only be used in the libraries. In order to view your findings at home, you may either print them, save them to a flash drive, or send them to your email.

You may also try HeritageQuest, a smaller collection of genealogy records that is available to use from home, or Ask a Librarian online or by phone for assistance: 608-266-6350
