Literacy Network will offer Community English classes to Dane County adults throughout 2025. Learn English to use in your community! English learners have two locations to choose from this year for FREE, in-person English classes focused on picking up everyday English vocabulary and gaining confidence with the language.
Community English Classes
Three semesters are taught throughout the year. Students are welcome to sign up for multiple semesters or just one. There are opportunities to build on your learning with each new semester.
We're nearly finished with the Spring semester but will have more details later on for future semesters.
Topics for each cohort of students is tailored to their needs and learning interests. Potential topics could include everyday conversation, English for work, navigating public transportation, visiting the grocery store, and many others. Both classes will also cover using library resources, and showcase how English-language learners can benefit from having a library card.
