Join us at Goodman South Madison Library Tuesdays where we'll have activities available to engage with from 1-3PM and enrichment opportunities coordinated by Teen Librarian Will G. and featuring  Madison Police Department Community Outreach Resource Education Team. Meet other teens from your neighborhood and enjoy the experience. 

The Community Outreach and Resource Education (CORE) Team's mission is to enhance the Madison Police Department's efforts to reduce disproportionate arrests related to racial disparities and improve trust and perception of fairness through procedural justice, community outreach, education, and problem-solving.

  • Break down barriers between youth and police.
  • Create and expand programs to divert youth from the criminal justice system
  • Encourage the involvement of parents
  • Work collaboratively across districts and with outside agencies to find solutions to social and community issues.
  • Experience activities with the Forensics team
  • Discuss procedural methods with the drone team
  • Being able to discuss best practices with officers (traffic stops)
