We welcome Susan Carpenter, the Native Plant Garden curator and gardener at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum who will share information about the importance of planting native trees and shrubs. While native flowers and grasses are important for pollinators, native trees and shrubs are just as beneficial for the environment, wildlife, and your garden and yard. And of course native garden plants, native trees and shrubs are all native plants!
After the talk, there will be time for Q&A. Light refreshments and coffee will be available--you're invited to bring your own reusable mug.
