Aug 22, 2024

WKOW 15 STEM Weather Rockets Feature at Sequoya Library with Dana Fulton August 2024Dana Fulton, WKOW's Wake Up Wisconsin Meteorologist, recently visited Sequoya Library's STEMForce program to chat about weather and encourage kids to read! Librarian Abby R. put together a book list for kids ages 6-12 that connects STEM, weather, rockets, and diverse representation.

STEMForce is local teen-led nonprofit spearheaded by none other than our WE READ Youth Ambassador Diya Dhawal and her sibling Jai! For their final summer program of 2024 on August 24, they taught kids about rockets and did a rocket launch! This was a fun collaboration with Dana on weather, science, and reading - you can see the full story online at: WKOW.com
